Ugandan musician Bebe Cool has made comments about the return of opposition leader and National Unity Platform (NUP) President, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, commonly known as Bobi Wine.

On the day of his return, Bobi Wine arrived in Uganda from abroad. He had been traveling to various countries as part of his campaign for the 2026 presidential election, where he intends to challenge Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) for the presidency of Uganda.

Bobi Wine was welcomed back to Uganda at Entebbe International Airport, and he was later detained by security forces at his residence in Magere, Kasangati, in the Wakiso district. As he spoke to reporters at his residence, he pointed out that although he was at home, he had not officially entered Uganda through immigration because he was apprehended on the tarmac.

In a tweet, Bobi Wine stated, “Can you imagine that I am at home but I am not officially in Uganda because I was grabbed from the tarmac without going through immigration?”

Responding to Bobi Wine’s situation, musician Moses Ssali, also known as Bebe Cool, expressed his confusion, saying, “I don’t understand why I am laughing.”
