Kisoro Priest Sought in Fatal Pedestrian Accident

In Kisoro district, a tragic accident on October 9, 2023, claimed the life of a pedestrian, leading authorities to seek a 58-year-old priest, Reverend Sam Nziita, for his connection to the incident. The victim, Mbabazi Stephen (55), was struck by a silver Toyota Prado while walking along the road. The vehicle, en route from Kisoro to Kabale, lost control near Kyamps petrol station, resulting in the pedestrian’s immediate fatality. Elly Maate, the Kigezi Region Police spokesperson, has attributed the accident to reckless driving and assured ongoing investigations to apprehend the driver who fled the scene.
