Kampala – Security has arrested three leaders from the National Unity Platform-NUP party. They are Joel Ssenyonyi, the party spokesperson, Lewis Rubongoya, the secretary general, and former Kampala central NUP parliamentary candidate Fred Nyanzi Ssentamu.

This morning, a group of military and police officers surrounded them at a gas station in Kamwokya. The arrest happened shortly after they spoke to journalists about their plans to celebrate this year’s independence at their party headquarters.
