KAARO KARUNGI | AMURIA DISTRICT – Police in Orungo sub-county, Amuria district is in search of one Assam Erimu, a 20 year old male who is alleged to have murdered his brother Abudala Ecepu.
It is alleged that Assan Erimu hacked his brother On Thursday, the 20th of May, around 4pm as he was digging.
The report shows that Erimu went to his brother’s garden where he found him digging and cut off his head using a panga and died instantly.
Mr. Matayo Ojur, the LC1 Chairperson Orungu Town council confirmed the incident and says it was as a result of land wrangle.
He urged residents to always avoid taking the law into their own hands because it is senseless killing each other over issues that can be resolved amicably.
By press time,the police of Amuria Central Police station together with Orugo police post were still in search of Erimu.
