Sheema district assistant chief administration officer ( CAO ) Wycliffe Babwebare has today sent a clear message to Parish chiefs/ town agents and local council 3 councillors who have a thought of emblezzling parish model program money to dig their own graves before being landed on.
All these were said while inducting Kyangyenyi Sub county councillors and parish chiefs where he said that they have learnt something and forgotten nothing in the recent government poverty alleviation programs.
“I want to alert you parish chiefs who still have thought of emblezzling this money , to start as earlier as possible digging their own graves , by the way they should dig deeper ones because we shan’t tolerante fraud things in this program.
My parental advice to parish chiefs who are of that type, is to retire early rather than emblezzling government funds and we imprison you for life” Wycliffe
Chairman LC 3 Kyangyenyi Sub county Mesearch Tumwiine said that he won’t tolerate any parish chief nor councillor who will try to fraud the program saying that he term corrupt officials as stupid.
“I don’t deal with corrupt officials, let me hope they all know, my understanding tells me that every corrupt person is not only stupid but also foolish, I don’t want to speak much about that but the message is that whoever tries it in my Sub county, he or she will try it at his own risk”Mesearch
Mesearch also warned councillors to stay in their lane and do their responsibilities but not flooking
“What I request my councillors is one, they should know why they were elected , they should bring views in the council that favours their voters but if they want milk the voters , then it will be a different story” Mesearch
In the same induction, Kyangyenyi Sub county thanked last regime councillors by giving them goats as a sign of appreciation where the Sub county chief Robert Beijuka said that this will be a habit in Kyangyenyi.
” We have given our former chairman LC 3 and councillors a goat each just to show them that we appreciated whatever they did towards the development of our Sub county” Beijuka
