Dr. Rosemary Alwoch Ogwal has said she left the country to study in the UK and she is a competent candidate among the many candidates vying for the position of Woman MP in the by-election, saying the legacy of her late mother R.I.P. Cecilia will speak for itself in the forthcoming election.

While addressing members of the media in a press briefing from Dokolo town council, Alwoch narrated that she has begun to address the key issues that were handled by her mother, such as bursaries.

Here Dr. Alwoch Rosemary gave money and mattresses to over 180 PLE candidates on Saturday who were being catered for by her mother for the past 19 years. According to her, she was giving them money meant for school fees and the mattresses as far as bursaries are concerned.

“Another thing that my mother was thinking about that she was unable to implement was the student performance and service delivery. I want to work with the government to improve the standards of service delivery in Dokolo,” she said. She said she is also going to get down to the people and fight for justice for the people of Dokolo.

The by-election is meant to fill the vacancy caused by the death of MP Atim Ogwal Cecilia.

The exercises kicked off on Monday, February 12, 2024, at Dokolo Theatrical Hall where the Independent Electoral Commission held a meeting with stakeholders.

Alwoch was officially unveiled as the FDC candidate who was endorsed early this week by the party members.

There are close to 17 candidates who are vying for the position of Dokolo Woman MP in the forthcoming by-election of woman MP.
