The Uganda Police Force and Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) in India signed an agreement to work together more closely. This is a significant step in improving how these two organizations cooperate.

The signing event happened at the Police Headquarters in Naguru. AIGP Golooba Godfrey, the Director of Human Resource Development for the Police, represented the Uganda Police Force, while RRU was represented by their Director, Manoj Bhatt. The India High Commissioner to Uganda, H.E Upender Singh Rawat, was also there.

Director Golooba talked about how important this agreement is for improving law enforcement in Uganda. He said that being professional and developing the force go hand in hand. He also expressed gratitude for the cooperation and hope that it will make the Uganda Police Force better for Ugandans.

Director RRU talked about how they can tailor their programs to meet the needs of institutions like the Uganda Police Force. He suggested that a team from both sides should work together to coordinate their efforts.

This collaboration was made possible by the Leela Foundation and the Tirupati family, represented by Mr. Miraj Barot and Juhi Barot.

As part of this cooperation, India will provide over 100 opportunities for members of the Uganda Police Force to advance in various fields. This is a big step in helping both countries grow and share knowledge.
