Prominent NTV Uganda news anchor and show host Faridah Nakazibwe hosted her final Mwasuze Mutya show on Friday, September 27, 2023, signaling the end of her 17-year tenure at the station.
Nakazibwe joined NTV Uganda in September 2006 as a news anchor for the Luganda news bulletin, NTV Akawungeezi, which she diligently presented. Her dedication and ethical approach to her work eventually led her to become the co-producer for the news bulletin, alongside her role as a news anchor.
In addition to her news duties, Nakazibwe was the familiar face behind the Mwasuze Mutya show, which shed light on the lives of prominent individuals in society, airing every weekday morning.
Nakazibwe’s last episode of Mwasuze Mutya featured guest Flavia Tumusiime, marking her farewell from NTV Uganda.
In September, Nakazibwe achieved a significant milestone by graduating with a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Victoria University’s 7th graduation ceremony.
Reports suggest that she intends to focus on her personal businesses, including the SMILE Nakazibwe Foundation, which supports struggling families and organizes events.
The role of Nakazibwe as the mother of two will be succeeded by Ruth Kalibbala Bwanika, who has already taken over the hosting duties of the Mwasuze Mutya show on Monday mornings.
