Faulty electricity lines a long several parts of the Kampala Metropolitan Area and beyond, have led to power outages.
As a result, UMEME appealed to residents to plan their day, accordingly, promising to restore power as soon as maintenance works are complete.
The affected areas include; Lyna DayCare, Wakaliga, Masengere, Sentema, Mengo, Rubaga, Bulange, Ndejje University, Namirembe, Nalukolongo, Kabuusu and Ssembule.
Other places are; Nabbingo, Namagoma, Kitemu, Nsangi, Maya, Nakirebi, Mpigi, Boza, Kamengo, Kyabadaza and Mitala Maria.
Power has also been switched off in Kibumbiro, Kigwanya, Busega, Kasimba Square, Dome, King Fahad, Samona Factory, Mackay Road, Nateete Taxi Park and Nateete Church Zone.
Along Entebbe Road, the areas experiencing power outages are; Lweza, Zana, Namasuba, Najjanakumbi, Stella, Kitende, Akright, Kajjansi, Bweya, Kawoto, Nakigalala, Katale, Seguku, Naziba, Kisubi, Lutembe and Lubowa.
Power in the areas of Corsu, Kisubi, Kawuku, Kitara, Mpala Kitala, Nalugala, Nabinonya, Namulanda, Bwebajja, Lutembe, Bwerenga, Katoomi, Garuga, Ggerenge, Entebbe Town, Kitooro, Nakiwogo are off to enable the team to conduct maintenance works up to 5pm.
