The power struggle within the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has intensified, with the legitimate Secretary General, Hon Nandala Mafabi, warning Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago to sign a will ahead of the impending battle for control of the party’s top offices.

Lukwago, who belongs to the warring faction at Katonga Road, was elected the interim FDC president and has since threatened to move to Najjanankumbi to capture the party instruments of power.

The recognized faction of the FDC, led by Patrick Amuriat, is currently holding a delegates conference to elect new party leaders, including party president, secretary general, and National Executive Committee (NEC) members.

Speaking from Lugogo, where the Delegates Conference is taking place, Mafabi, who is accused of pocketing billions of cash from the State, warned Lukwago and his loyalists to sign their wills as they attempt to move to occupy FDC offices.
