KAARO KARUNGI | RUKUNGIRI – Five councilors are competing for the Rukungiri District council speaker seat;
The recently chose councilors and those that were reappointed are planning to swear in on 24th May,
James Turyamubona a councilor addressing Kebisoni sub region on public opposition development ticket and speaker in the active committee is looking for briefly term in office for what he says is to achieve his incomplete work.
Turyamubona noticed that they have improved Bwanga stock ranch by adding half breed cows, campaigned for another regulatory Block and built new schools in their residency.
Albert Ahabwe Mugisha Rwamugata a recently chosen area councilor addressing Buyanja sub region on national resistance movement ticket noticed that his call to pass improvement arranged goals and battle debasement and misappropriation of government assets in the locale has constrained him to challenge for the speaker seat.
Other councilors challenging for the new council speaker seat incorporate Benon Kyarisima who addresses Buhunga sub region on autonomous ticket, Susan Abinsinguza who addresses youth on public opposition development ticket and Gideon Ntungura who addresses Bwambara sub region on national resistance movement ticket.
