Six Senior Police Commanders who were attached to the violent crime crack unit; Flying Squad have been appointed Officers In-Charge (OC) of police stations.
All the six, at the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) have been reverted to general police and then posted to upcountry police stations.
Vincent Adupa has been appointed OC Soroti police barracks, Lawrence Ayesiga at Agwata police station in Dokolo district, while Innocent Bimanywa is at Karita police station in Amudat district.
Other Flying Squad commanders appointed include Morris Okidi who is now OC Campswahili police station in Moroto district, Kenneth Nyeko in Rwaje police station in Buvuma district while Madrine Namutebi has been taken to Kazinga police station in Kyegegwa district on the same position.
This is the second time IGP Ochola has disbanded the unit, following the dissolution in his third month as IGP when he took over the office from Gen. Edward Kale Kayihura.
