The COVID-19 task forces in Kiruhura and Kazo districts received equipment to help in COVID-19 prevention.
The equipment including sanitizers, gun thermometers, finger pulse oxometers, aprons, face shields and others were delivered by Members of Parliament for Greater Kiruhura (including Kiruhura and Kazo districts), namely; Hon Dan Atwijukire Kimosho of Kazo Constituency, Hon Tayebwa Herbert of Kashongi Constituency, Hon Wilson Twinomugisha Kajwengye of Nyabushozi Constituency and Hon Jovanice Rwenduuru Twinobusingye, Woman MP for Kiruhura District.
According to Hon Kajwengye, and Hon Kimosho (through his representative; Mugabe Alex Kayabuuki), the reason for the delivery of the equipment is to come to the health workers’ rescue in preventing the disease as they are always at a high risk of contracting it, as they also help the rest of the public to get enough services to test, vaccinate and treat COVID-19 patients.
The two district leaders; Rev Samuel Mugisha Katugunda of Kazo and Dan Mukago Rutetebya of Kiruhura, and the Residrnt District Commissioners; Ruth Sabiiti Kashaka of Kazo and Muhindo Aminadab of Kiruhura hailed the effort of the MPs for their concern and action, promising to use the equipment as required.
