The government is doing a big project in Kikuube district. They are making pipes to bring clean water to people. This project is part of the Uganda intergovernmental fiscal transfer program (UgIFT).
In one place called Nyamurima, they are building a well that makes 18,000 liters of water every hour. They are also building a pump house and other things to help with water. This project will cost 1.5 billion shillings, and they have already used 200 million shillings on it. It should be done in July 2025.
The good thing is that every family in two areas called Katanga Parish and Ruguse parish will have water taps. There are more than 5000 families in these places.
There are also more projects coming. They will make piped water in Hohwa, which will cost 700 million shillings, and in Rwemparaki, which will cost 500 million shillings.
The leaders of Kikuube are happy about this. They say that when the water project is done, people will get clean water at a low cost. This is important because clean water makes people healthy. When people are healthy, they can take part in government programs and make money. The leaders thank the NRM government for helping the people with clean water.
In another place called Kahojo, a borehole was made, and it was given to the people. This borehole will give clean water to the people of Kyarubanga. Before, they had to get dirty water from a swamp.
Now, they are happy because they have clean water thanks to the government. Hilda Birungi and others in Kyarubanga village say thank you to the government for the clean water.
