The Regional Traffic Commander [RTO] for North Kyoga, SP Okwir Matias Mulumba, has warned that anyone riding without a helmet will be arrested.
He made this statement on Thursday, February 23, 2023, during a send-off ceremony for Joseph Okello, who passed away in an accident that occurred in the Bar area on February 18, 2023.
“We will begin enforcing traffic rules tomorrow as the police,” said Mulumba. “Every person must wear a helmet, as it will help you in case of an accident.
Most of you think the police are wasting their time by advising you,” he added.
Several accidents have reportedly occurred in most areas of the Lango sub-region.
