KAARO KARUNGI | KAMPALA– The Uganda National Roads Authority has uncovered that transport should be affected at Kazinga channel connect enroute to Kasese.

As indicated by the Authority noticed that the looming brief conclusion of the Bridge at Katunguru on the Hiima-Katunguru-Ishaka road is intended to work to facilitate emergency rehabilitation works.

The conclusion as per the UNRA articulation is required to last between second June and September second, 2021.

During this period, a ferry will be given to work as an elective methods for transport. The ship can convey upto 06 vehicles ( Saloon Cars, pickups, Mini Vans/Taxis) and travelers not surpassing 50 for each intersection.

As per the Authority’s assertion, this ship isn’t allowed to convey hefty burdens like trailers and Buses which as a rule convey substantial payload in their undersides.

Every one of these rock solid vehicles will be redirected to elective courses as follows:.

  • Kasese by means of Mbarara; Kampala-Mbarara-Ibanda-Kamwenge-Fortportal-Kasese.
  • Mbarara to Kasese; Mbarara-Ibanda-Kamwenge-Fortportal-Kasese.
  • Mpondwe to Mbarara or Kampala by means of Mbarara; Mpondwe-Kasese-Fortpotal-Kamwenge-Ibanda-Mbarara then Kampala.
  • Mpondwe to Ishaka or Kabale/Katuna by means of Ishaka; Mpondwe-Kasese-Fortpotal-Kamwenge-Ibanda-Mbarara then Ishaka and tight clamp versa on bring Journey back.
  • Kampala to Kasese Via Fortportal : Not influenced, common travel course will be utilized.
