Katuna Border To Be Reopened By 31 January 2020


Following the official visit by Uganda’s first son and the Commander of Land Forces Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba to Rwanda to meet President Paul Kagame last week, Rwandan government has come out and agrees to reopen Katuna border.


In a statement released by Rwandan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation says that the border will be reopened on Sunday Monday 31st 2022.


The statement also indicated that both Uganda and Rwanda will put necessary measures at the borders to facilitate the movement of goods and people in line with guidelines to manage the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.


Katuna border has been closed for almost 3 years and the visit of the first seems to bringing smiles back on the faces of innocent Ugandans who were doing cross.
