In a ceremony held on Monday, October 9, 2023, during the 61st Independence Day celebrations in Kitgum District, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Esq. JM Okoth Ochola, along with ten distinguished officers, received honors from the President of the Republic of Uganda, His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
IGP Ochola was awarded the Exemplary Service Order 1st Class medal in recognition of his exceptional leadership, community engagement, efforts in promoting peace, positive transformation of the Uganda Police Force’s image, and unwavering support for its mission.
