Kamwenge district has so far confirmed over 28 COVID-19 cases, according to Dr Mucunguzi William the district health officer Kamwenge.
In an interview with our reporter, Dr Mucunguzi said the confirmed cases are from the areas of Nkoma-Kataryeba, Kamwenge and Rukunyu town councils in Kamwenge district.
Dr Mucunguzi says the confirmed active cases are currently on home based care much as the district task force is ready to refer anyone whose condition becomes critical, to Buhinga Referral Hospital in Fort Portal.
Dr Mucunguzi who said that the district COVID-19 vaccines are currently out of stock, added that his office has already ordered for more vaccines from Kampala.
He calls for co-operation among all stakeholders, the general public and the district taskforce to implement presidential guidelines set to prevent the virus.
