KAARO KARUNGI | RWAMPARA– Rwampara district Authorities have officially launched the Presidential Initiative on fighting poverty known to many as Emyooga to allow successful Saccos access the funds.
A total of 36 Saccos from both counties of Rwampara district on Wednesday April 14th 2021 received their certificates at a function held at Nyeihnga play ground in Nyeihanga town council.
Amon Mutabarura the Rwampara District acting commercial officer noted that they have properly sensitized the members on how to use the funds which are already on their accounts.
Mutabarura urged the members to effectively use this seed capital so that they can boost their financial status.

In his remarks Emmy Kateera Turyabagyenyi the Rwampara Resident District Commissioner RDC asked the beneficiaries to desist from financial mismanagement that might lead them to jail.
Kateera narrated that this is a great opportunity to many Ugandans with different skills to start small with Government’s support aimed at getting them out of poverty.

Speaking as chief guest, Andrew Zimbe the Micro Finance Support Centre (MFSC) Zonal manager for south Western Uganda noted that once the money given to these Saccos is effectively used, the Government is more prepared to support the Saccos with more funding.
