Rukungiri district leaders take oath of office.

KAARO KARUNGI | RUKUNGIRI – Rukungiri District Chairman Geoffery Kyomukama and his committee yesterday made vow of office.

The swearing-in ceremony was directed by the Rukungiri region boss judge His love Nasuru Ntaro Hassan at Rukungiri motel, Eastern Division Rukungiri Municipality.

Ntaro informed the Councilors to stay away from abuse regarding office and just focus on the improvement of the District

He additionally added that they should be straightforward and prepared to show appropriate responsibility to individuals they serve.

Goffery kyomukama the new area director says he targets making work for the expanding populace in the region, improve family pay, appropriately carry out government programs and improve   health and training

At the same function James Turyamuboona, the male district councillor was elected unopposed as district speaker unopposed while Frank Karezi the Rwerere town council District councillor was elected as the deputy speaker.

Satrinah Nahwera the district woman councillor of Buhunga and Ruhinda sub counties has been appointed the district vice chairperson

The district executive committee was also unveiled in which Gideon Ntungura from Bwambara is in charge of finance planning, Mathias Mwesigwa Rwabugumi is in charge of Health and Nutrition, Cledonia Bakyironda for education and sports and Micheal Byarugaba is in charge of marketing and production.

Prof.Mondo kagonyera the former Rubabo county legislator who was the chief guest at the function asked the district chairperson and his councilors to focus on skilling the youth for them to earn   incomes so that the government can help them having started their own small-scale projects.

The Rukungiri RDC Nsubuga Bewayo also warned councilors to desist from corruption   and that they should work on the will of their voters so that they can develop this district.

Some of the district councilors told our reporter that they are more than ready to work for the people so that they can develop their communities.
