KAARO KARUNGI | RUKUNGIRI – 65 Primary School Teachers in Rukungiri Municipality have been trained to enhance COVID-19 Preventation measures, Guidance and Counseling , Hygiene and Sanitation.
The Rukungiri Municipality Education Department yesterday conducted a one day training seminar at Nyakibale Upper Boarding P/School in preparation for the reporting of P.1, P.2 and P.3 on 7th June 2021
The lowe primary section has stayed home since the beginning of COVID-19 pandemic out break.
The Municipal Principal education officer Alfred Katabazi Mutuza said that P.1, P.2 and P.3 classes accommodate the largest numbers which need much attention and care and this has forced the department to train that will dubbed COVID-19 Task forces at Schools
He further asked parents to monitor and accept advice from their children because the trained teachers will also train pupils at school.
The Health Specialist Arinaitwe Julius trained teachers on school operating standards among others the use of safe water, Food hygiene, and Sanitation
The Municipal Education Officer in charge of Guidance and Counseling Mwesigwa Patience appealed to teachers to always befriend their pupils and study their problems to be able to help them.
