Uganda is preparing to reveal a locally designed truck during its Independence Day celebration. This three-wheeler, known as Bingwa, has been developed by the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation. It boasts a highly efficient 0.8-liter two-stroke engine, prioritizing a strong power-to-weight ratio.

The Bingwa truck serves multiple purposes on the farm, including the transportation of up to 1,000 kilograms of goods. Additionally, it can pump an impressive 6,000 liters of water per hour for irrigation and generate six kilowatts of electricity each hour.

Dr. Monica Musenero, the Minister for Science and Innovation, announced that President Museveni will unveil this innovative farm vehicle in Kitgum District as part of Uganda’s 61st Independence Day celebrations. Dr. Musenero highlighted that Bingwa addresses critical challenges in Uganda, providing solutions for water pumping, electricity generation, and produce transportation, ultimately contributing to economic development.
