KAARO KARUNGI | KAMPALA – It was a somber mood in Rubaga Division Speaker elections as Rubaga North Member Of Parliament, Hon Kawalya Abubacker (NUP) gave an opportunity NRM.
Abubaker, who was supporting Semaganda Ronald in NUP primaries lost miserably as he got the 25 NUP councillors who had lost in the primaries.
Abubacker dealt with Mbaziira Musa, the NRM candidate who he had vigorously supported in last year’s Speaker elections.
In 2020, Abubacker dealt with and supported Bruhan Byaruhanga (NRM) to become Speaker of KCCA and Deputy Speaker respectively fighting off Nyanjura Doreen, the preferred Lord Mayor’s candidate receiving cash amounting to 250 million in the deal .
Abubaker, the NUP betrayer who support the ruling party continued to Division Level letting down Loyal Party members who have since tried to stay sober away from his endless deal making sprees.
Each Councillor receieved UgShs 1 Million at Kabowa where Mbaziira Musa, the NRM candidate, enjoys a soccer from and where merry making happens when they meet up as friends with the Rubaga North MP.
Reports from a trusted source indicate that Kawalya was behind the failure and denial of NUP diehard, Mubiru James to contest for Member of Parliament in the previous election era.
The party at Kamwokya has started investigations on Kawalya Abubaker following unexpected behaviours.
