The President of National Unity Platform (NUP) Robert Kyagulanyi also known as Bobi Wine has today 06th March 2022 shown his dissatisfaction on social media about the practice of tribalism in Uganda by top government officials.
This comes after the Permanent Health Secretory Dr. Diana Atwine on 4th March 2022 appointed Dr. Rosemary Byanyima to serve in the acting capacity as the Executive Director of Mulago National Referral Hospital. This position was previously occupied by Dr. Byarugaba Beterana who fell a victim of expulsion from it after he was suspected of charges related to embezzling up to 28billion.
The appointment surprised Kyagulanyi as he did not expect another suitable occupant to be from Western Uganda. He said that the current government is only filled with people from the Bakiga and Banyankole which is sign of tribalism.
Kyagulanyi who could not handle it any longer took to his twitter account and spilled his emotions that the allocation of public jobs has been limited to only one tribe where the Yoweri Museveni hails from. Kyagulanyi explained that when people like him talk about this tribalism, they are accused of being hypocrites.
A recent tweet from Robert Kyagulanyi in which he attacked government that it is tribalistic.
However his tweet attracted numerous reactions in hours from Ugandans which were more of Negative than positive. @FrankTumusiime helped Kyagulanyi remember that NUP has also no Munyankole in its top leadership, how is that?
@Ruhima Jonah said that there is balance in the allocation of jobs; he listed how Jane Ruth Aceng is the Minister of Health, Anita Kawoya the state minister, Kenneth Akiiri the Undersecretary while Dr. Joseph Okwere is the director governance and regulations. So this clearly explains that there is honesty since these people are from different regions.

But @Robert Kirumira said that the appointment of public workers from only one ethnic group is the one which is accelerating rampant corruption, under development and mismanagement of this country’s resources.
