KAARO KARUNGI | KYANKWANZI -Three individuals including two from a similar family have suffocated in a valley dam in Kyankwanzi region.
The deceased have been distinguished as Farouk, Seruke and Ali, all occupants of Kololo town in Butemba sub-area, Kyankwanzi region.
The episode happened on Wednesday evening at around 7 pm when the three had gone to get water in one of the private valley dams around there.
Robinah Nakatemba, the area LC 1 chairperson says that the deceased had completed the process of bringing water and depended on swimming when they suffocated.
Nakatemba says that occupants in the space have been cautioned against getting water and swimming in the dam since it is profound and intended to be utilized by steers.
As per Nakatemba, the dam isn’t fenced uncovering numerous individuals particularly the kids to hazard when they are sent by their folks to bring water.
Judith Kande, the dam proprietor says on a few events, she cautioned inhabitants from getting water from the dam to no end.
