KAARO KARUNGI | BUSHENYI – West Ankole Diocese Bushenyi area has suspended Rev Canon Johnmark Nsasiirwe, the minister of St James Church of Uganda, Kaburengye Parish for taking part in an illicit wedding.
As indicated by a letter composed by the West Ankole Diocesan Secretary, Rev Didas Natweta to Canon Nsasiirwe dated May 18, 2021, , Canon Nsasiirwe purportedly took part in an unlawful church wedding service and permitted it to happen at Kaburengye without sticking to the marriage laws of Uganda.
Rev Canon Nsasiirwe is blamed for permitting a wedding function between the previous West Ankole Diocesan Dean, Rev Canon Nobert Tibikoma and his better half, Evaline Kyampaire, which happened on May 13, 2021 at Kaburengye.
The two people married were allegedly not officially enlisted at any rate three weeks prior and that, all things being equal, they were placed in the register after the wedding.
As per the Diocesan Secretary, Canon Nsasiirwe taught the Curate and the lay peruser to falsely sign the banns of marriage against the dates of the three Sundays as though they were really reported before the couple’s wedding in Church when they won’t ever do.
The specialists at Bweranyangi kept up in the letter that while the Curate and Lay peruser conceded some unacceptable and requested absolution, their Canon Nsasiirwe didn’t show any worry and regret and rather demanded that the banns of marriage were distributed and there was no off-base submitted.
