Residents of Rupa Sub-county in Moroto District, Karamoja, are celebrating the arrival of a much-needed ambulance after years of transportation challenges, particularly for pregnant mothers accessing healthcare facilities. The donation, valued at Shs266 million and provided by Sunbird Resources Ltd as part of its social corporate responsibility, is set to benefit approximately 30,000 people in the community.

Minister of State for Minerals Peter Lokeris, who presided over the handover ceremony, emphasized the significant impact the ambulance will have on improving maternal health in the region.
