I&M Bank Uganda Focuses on Enhancing Customer Service During Customer Service Week

I&M Bank Uganda has dedicated this year’s Customer Service Week to activities aimed at improving customer service across its branches throughout the country.






Under the theme “Team Service,” the annual Customer Service Week, which occurs in the first week of October, has generated great enthusiasm among I&M Bank Uganda employees due to its engaging week-long activities.

The bank commenced the highly anticipated week with a brand connection event. The bank’s top executives visited various branches across the country, interacted with staff, and served customers. Acting Managing Director Sam Ntulume led the way by officially launching the Customer Service Week and the I&M Bank Excellence Challenge, a one-month competition among different I&M branches that aims to recognize branches consistently excelling in customer service standards.

Another activity during the week was Client Engagement. Relationship managers and branch managers visited select clients, bringing gift hampers, e-cards, and appreciation messages.




On Wednesday, October 4, the celebrations revolved around the theme “Celebrating African Unity,” with staff embracing African culture by wearing African attire. On Thursday, bank staff celebrated “Pamoja Day.”

Mr. Ntulume emphasized the importance of going beyond standard services to make customers feel valued and catered to in their financial needs. He stated, “The Customer Service Week is very special to us at I&M Bank because our clients mean everything to us, and we are here to show them that we care about them and their financial needs.”

Ntulume highlighted that his visit to Entebbe was just one of several visits made by the bank’s top management to engage with staff and customers on maintaining exceptional customer service delivery.

The Customer Service Week is an annual international celebration that emphasizes the significance of customer service and the people who support customers on a daily basis.

The exciting week will conclude this Friday with an awards ceremony, recognizing outstanding performers with awards and prizes.
